Tia is a tiny little girl and much cuter in person than
the photos. Tia, whose name was Tina while she was in a shelter, is
now in a foster home waiting for a family to fall in love with her!
That will not be hard to do once you meet her. She is a
petite girl, only about 30lbs. She has a longer and leaner build than
a typical Shar-pei which leads us to believe she has a little
something else in her. Her face is all wrinkly Pei cuteness.
She gives sweet little kisses, not slobbery ones and likes to cuddle.
She is active, playful and energetic. She likes to go for walks, meet
other dogs, visit people along the way and sees every outing as a new
adventure. She is pretty easy to walk once she settles down from the
excitement the idea of a walk brings on. Tia likes to walk right
into other dogs she meets, face to face and in their face is her
style. Once she has her eyes tended to she will be better able to
greet new animals and people. Right now she has to get up close to get
a good look at anything. Something not all dogs appreciate!
The foster home Tia is staying in at the moment has a grumpy older dog
and a dog-savvy cat living there too. The cat and Tia just sniff each
other so far without much interest for each other. Tia loves to plant
kisses on the old man dog even tho he is not fond of kissing!
UPDATE: Darling little Tia has moved to Vancouver
Island with her pal Kai - two little peas in a pod who love to play.
Her new mommy is spoiling them both and they deserve it!
Tia's mom knew Kai was coming into rescue and
adopted him too! What a lucky boy.
Kai was abandoned at the ripe old age of eight
months... just a baby. It was his good luck to make his way to
TnT Rescue and onto a wonderful new life!
