Janie..

Update: we lost Darling Janie to kidney failure in
early November. We are grateful to Alison and Stan who gave
Janie a loving home environment for the time she had left.
Janie was a real treasure, and deserved more from
life than she got with her previous family. She is much missed
by her mom Ali and will always be remembered in her heart.

Janie is doing so much better in her
foster home. Janie is eating well and even has gained a bit of weight.
She's getting along with all the pets in the home and has attached
herself to her foster Daddy.
We hope to keep Janie happy and comfortable for as long as possible.
Janie's medical care has cost TnT over $1,000 to date. Please help by
donating whatever you can to TnT, we are a registered charity in
Canada or you can buy an entertainment book from
TnT
which would help us with Janie's costs..
Janie's story...
TnT was called by the shelter where a dog in very bad shape waited
desperately for care. When TnT's volunteer went to the shelter to meet
the dog she was shocked at how badly Janie needed help. Janie is now
at this wonderful volunteer's already full home. She is
underweight, in need of entropian eye surgery, has horrible skin,
teeth and a bloated belly with nipples that hang to the ground.
We knew she was in bad shape but not how bad...
Janie spent one night in a foster home before being rushed to the
animal emergency clinic where she was found in distress. Her vital
organs were shutting down. She spent the night on IV and we almost
lost her. Once stabilized she was taken to a vet close to her foster
home where volunteers took turns visiting her until she was well
enough to return to her foster home.
Janie is now resting comfortably with our amazing volunteer but her
medical needs are still great. Janie is doing better but her future is
uncertain and for now she is in need of hospice care. We will post
updates about her here but at this time our goal is to keep her
comfortable, warm and loved. Our volunteer and her family are making
sure she is getting all the care she needs and the love she never had,
until now.
Even though Janie is not up for adoption at this time she does still
need your help. If you would like to help Janie please contact us or
go to www.tntsharpeiresue.com to make a tax deductible donation to our
registered charity. Any amount is helpful and all funds raised go
directly to the care of our dogs in need.
Photos of sweet Janie in her comfy and cozy bed can be seen here after
a few weeks of residence with her foster family.
