Jack... Adopted!
This little fellow is doing just fine in his new foster
home, and is very grateful to his dad for getting him outta the
shelter!

He is settling in nicely and learning
to heel, as well as making some new firiends! Jack is a handsome young
male, chocolate black with a nice brush coat. Jack is a sweet and easy
going guy, who loves to be outside and is friendly towards other dogs.
Jack has been jumped by strange dogs a few times and did not retaliate
at all. He's playful and affectionate and loves to cuddle. He likes a
good walk and could use a bit more leash training.
Jack is excellent in the home and
house trained.
Upate from foster dad: Jack has had
a great first week with us! He has progressed quickly on leash and
completes basic commands 'most' of the time ;) He loves long
walks and especially loves play time afterward. He's an amazing
hopper (though we're trying to limit that to play time only). I'll
try to capture some shots of Jack air born!!
I've nicknamed him Jackson
(after 'Jackson Pollack'), due to the large, abstract, 'Pollack-like'
patterns that his enormous flappy lips drip around his water bowl!
Jackson is playful and amazingly bright; he picks up new commands
quickly but he can also be stubborn. He constantly tests his
boundaries and won't miss a beat if we're not consistent. He's very
vocal during play time at home and with other dogs. Jack is curious
about other dogs but needs more socialization to learn good doggie
manners. He's fairly aloof with most people and quite
independent, but he doesn't mind a quick sniff and pet. He's bonded
quickly with me and likes to follow me around the house,
however, he'd prefer to rest alone and only gives his masters brief
opportunities to pet, massage or cuddle him. He really is a pleasure
to have around!
Update: Jackson's foster dad
has adopted him and we couldn't be happier (and neither could
Jackson!)
